Were Rulers Treated Kind?

I believe the rulers from research were treated well but the low people so to speak were not. The work conditions were poor and they worked hard for little. Most families in a kingdom would try to have a garden of trees. (See my project). You know, it is like that know, some people work harder and have less and others have too much. I think if I lived then I would have been the one who invented a tool to make life easier. I love building! Overall, life is better with my friends, TV , and my IPOD. Sounds a little materialistic and I don't mind hard work but lets face it what would you choose?
